In a strong market, even the biggest winners can go through a normal pullback from time to time.
***Hence, the adage "Buy Low, Sell High Higher" still holds. Really. In a strong market, if you see a bandwagon, then you are late. If you attempt to catch up on it, as many do, then those who invested first would have posted wins in astronomical proportions. Being greedy, you become impatient. As a confirmation of your bad timing, the market dips again. For you it is a sign of mistake in buying the darn stock in the first place. So what do you do? You sell. For those who are seasoned investors, they buy your "cheap" stocks. Again.
Then, what happens? The darn stock rises again. What the....? Why did I miss that? You will ask yourself. What do you do? You buy again. And so that is the whole point in this stock market losses you accumulate over the years.
