The local automotive industry sold 34,829 units during the first four months of 2007, 18.7 percent more than what it sold in the same period in 2006, the Chamber of Automotive Manufacturers of the Philippines Inc. said Monday.
The group said sales were particularly healthy in April, when 8,628 units were sold. Passenger cars sold in April increased by 16 percent to 2,953 units, compared to the same month last year.
