MANILA, Philippines -- SPi, a wholly owned business process outsourcing unit of ePLDT Inc., said it had acquired US-based Springfield Service Corp. for $44 million. ePLDT is 100-percent owned by Philippine Long Distance Telephone Co., the country's largest telecommunications firm.
