NEW YORK (Reuters) - CNH Global NV (NYSE:CNH - news) said on Monday its first-quarter profit more than doubled, helped by higher sales at its agricultural and construction equipment businesses.
The farm equipment maker, an affiliate of Italian carmaker Fiat SpA (FIA.MI), reported a first-quarter net profit of $95 million, or 40 cents a share, compared with $43 million, or 18 cents a share, a year earlier.
